Erik Rivera is one of the premier Latinx multi-hyphenates as an actor-writer-director-comedian. Best known for his stand-up comedy specials, which includes HBO Max’s SUPER WHITE, Erik launched his career in the stand-up circuit before making a splash with an appearance on THE TONIGHT SHOW WITH JAY LENO. Since then, Erik has been a tour de force on the stand-up comedy scene with his first 1 hour special I’M NO EXPERT and landed roles on a number of shows including CBS’ SUPERIOR DONUTS and Oxygen’s LIVING WITH FUNNY. In 2019, Erik founded the only all Latinx Comedy Stand-up show with BROWN-ISH, which he hosted monthly at The Laugh Factory on Sunset before the world came crumbling down. COVID didn’t stop him, however, as he would host a weekly IG Live version of BROWN-ISH with comedian Sasha Merci. BROWN-ISH came back as the world started to turn again with sold-out shows each month in cities like Hollywood, Long Beach, and NYC.

Erik previously developed THE UNT ERIK RIVERA PROJECT with NBC and recently was developing the animated comedy RICKY & CRICKET for Amazon Studios and 3 Arts with Peter Murrieta and Isaac Gonzalez. He also made his directorial debut in 2022 by co-directing Jesus Sepulveda’s breakout comedy special, Mr. Tough Life for HBOMax.

Currently, Erik is the co-star of the mitu vodcast, 3 G’s In a Pod opposite Sasha Merci and Jesus Sepulveda. He is based in Los Angeles with his wife and two young sons.
