Born on February 27, 1961, in Manhasset, New York, Wendy Liebman grew up in Roslyn, Long Island. She graduated from Wellesley College in 1983 with a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Before venturing into comedy, Wendy worked as a psychology researcher at Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Mental Health Center.

Wendy resides in Los Angeles with her husband, Jeffrey Sherman, a TV producer and writer. They share their home with two rescued Jindo dogs, Jemma and Jackson. Wendy is also a stepmother to two sons from Jeffrey’s previous marriage.
